One of God’s gifts to us is our creativity. And one way for us to honor him is to use this gift. We have set up our makerspace as an open, comfortable place to meet together to make use of our gift to create fun crafty items.
Cherry Grove has joined with Trinity UMC in Milford to form the Community Makerspace Collaborative. Each of our churches has set up a dedicate space with a the tools and materials for a wide variety of craft projects. Here is a list of some of the projects we have completed:
- Sublimation (transferring a picture or photo onto a slim therman tumblers or latte mugs, decorative metal squares, and T-shirts)
- Polymer clay sculptures and jewelry
- Stained glass suncatchers
- Snowmen turned on a lathe
- Paper quilling
- Carved clay tiles
